Companies under Neptune Holding Company (notably: Neptune Oil, Pétro Service et Logistique-PSL, Cameroon Tyres Factory- CTF, abc finance) had a fabulous day on April 19, 2025. That day, thanks to the will and resources implemented by the Chairman and CEO of the Group, Dr. Antoine NDZENGUE, employees went on an excursion to Jebale, a river island in the Wouri estuary, located in the Littoral Region.
To reach the island, the personnel boarded motorized canoes for a ride in a historical place where remnants of a World War I cannon, and old schools and churches of Cameroon can be found.
Jebale Island, formerly known as “Jobale” (the Siren’s Island), is full of fascinating stories and age-old ancestral customs. The participants had the privilege of meeting the two traditional chiefs reigning over this territory: Jebale 1 and Jebale 2. The exchanges provided a captivating insight into their functioning, traditional rituals, and community vision.
One of the highlights of this day was the discovery of local traditional medicine, consisting of natural plants from biodiversity. A traditional doctor shared enriching knowledge about the benefits of certain ancestral remedies, creating a bridge between modern know-how and millennial traditions.
Between laughter, sharing, and explorations, this day was much more than just an outing: a true catalyst for synergies. The teams of Neptune Holding Company emerge more united than ever, imbued with the values of solidarity, innovation, and open-mindedness that are the strength of the Group.
