Ecotourism: Groupe Neptune on an excursion to Jebale Island

As a prelude to International Labor Day, on April 19, 2025, the holding company successfully organized a tourist visit to this river island in the Wouri estuary, located in the Littoral region.

Neptune Holding Company companies (including Neptune Oil, Pétro Service et Logistique-PSL, Cameroon Tyres Factory- CTF, abc finance) enjoyed a fabulous day on April 19, 2025. On that day, thanks to the determination and resources of the Group's Chairman and CEO, Dr Antoine NDZENGUE, employees took a trip to Jebale, a river island in the Wouri estuary, located in the Littoral region.

To reach the island, the staff boarded motorized pirogues for a walk through a historic site featuring the remains of a World War I cannon, and old Cameroon schools and churches.

Jebale Island, formerly known as "Jobale" (Mermaid Island), is full of fascinating stories and age-old ancestral customs. Participants had the privilege of meeting the two traditional chiefs who rule this territory: Jebale 1 and Jebale 2. The discussions gave a captivating insight into their way of life, traditional rituals and community vision.

One of the highlights of the day was the discovery of local traditional medicine, based on natural plants derived from biodiversity. A traditional doctor shared his enriching knowledge of the benefits of certain ancestral remedies, creating a bridge between modern know-how and age-old traditions.

Between laughter, sharing and exploration, this day was much more than a simple outing: it was a real catalyst for synergies. The Neptune Holding Company teams came away more united than ever, imbued with the values of solidarity, innovation and open-mindedness that are the Group's strength.
